2017- Bob Daubney has entered the commercial real estate market. Bob Daubney's after almost 5 years is about to close on the business's properties at 385 Troy Schenectady Road in Latham, New York, with over 10,000 square feet. Bob Daubney is currently leasing a 1500 sq. ft. store on a month to month lease for the last 5 years which is 50% the size of his old store on Route 9, 3,000 sq. ft. store where he's done business for 26 years after selling the Bowler Club in May of 1985. Bob Daubney's plans are to close on the Route 2 property towards the end of February and develop 2 or 3 more new stores for lease, 1500 sq. ft. each. Bob Daubney, with the help of his many friends, employees, and his family has been in business for over 60 years, starting at 135 North Pearl St, Albany in 1957. At that time he formed the Bob Daubney Foundation. Virginia Daubney was its first President and John Daubney was its first Vice President. Bob Daubney has promoted bowling through tournaments and leagues and has been donating thousands of dollars in the form of scholarships for the past 30 years to junior bowlers in local TV shows. |
